@Blanch6144 Whoever completed the form made an error. First number is Completed years of service - in Tom’s case 9 months. Second number is completed months with field force - 4 months. But the completer has used that column to describe the injury instead of the correct column to the right

This photograph, taken during WW1, made me stop and think. A family walked into a Hammersmith studio on Beadon Road, the grandly named 'Ideal London Studios Ltd', to create a photographic memory. I wonder if the soldier survived the war, whether he came back to his family.

To all appearances a signed photo by glamorous actress of stage and screen from the 1930s Dorothy Hyson... and indeed it is. But it is also signed by a WW2 codebreaker from Bletchley Park who was part of a team that broke the German 'Floradora' code.
(Hint: it's the same person)
