The best software developers I know take everything easy.

- They don't need to hurry - quality needs time
- There's always something they don't know - they adapt, they learn, they overcome
- They know Rome takes more than 7 days to build - realistic estimates are key

Software development is a long-term commitment.

If you really want to become good at it, you need to:

- Put in a lot of time
- Practice regularly
- Be able to take hits on your motivation
- Be okay with always feeling behind

But in return, you gain the power to create.

Software development is a field where even 50 years of experience don't make you a pro in everything.

Even funnier: Technology probably advances faster than you can keep up.

Lesson: Don't burn out trying to catch up.

Pick your niche. Specialize.

Build a broad foundation.
