Research evaluation, bibliometrics, gender balance in research, preprints, competitive intel. Working at Elsevier to support @IntCtrStudyRes. All thoughts mine.
I wasn’t expecting a #SoSolidCrew reference at #SSHA22, but I guess that’s what you get in a family feud debate. Loving this forum for discussion tho. Quite a convincing argument already that culture encompasses, well, everything and that’s where the need for change lies.
Wonderful to be at @AesisNet#SSHA22 and the first plenary session has already been both inspiring and beautifully delivered. Heidi van Rooyen’s point about infusing impact and research metrics with the SSHA community’s intel and magic makes so much sense. And sounds fun.
A reminder to all @sti2022grx women that there is a special event for "Women in Science Policy" (WISP) on Wed 7 September hosted by @csugimoto and @herbert_rach and sponsored by @IntCtrStudyRes
Loved reading this. An important message and, for me, a helpful reminder to think about the (bluntly put) 'so what' element of science of science. https://t.co/nFKHWTv8YO
I am one of the people that is excited😎Dividing into three groups next week, the @IntCtrStudyRes team will tackle three different research questions connected to #researcher affiliations. We'll share more soon! #hackathon#teambuilding#personaldevelopment
Alison McIntosh and myself wrote an article about how the #correspondingauthor role is changing over time in terms of its meaning and how it's perceived - you can read it on #THECampus. And you can read more here: https://t.co/Fyi2RYMSLk @IntCtrStudyRes
How the role of the corresponding author is changing in terms of research team dynamics and the perception of its meaning, and the implications for assuming the role: a #THECampus guide by @herbert_rach and Alison McIntosh

@LudoWaltman@neesjanvaneck Thanks Ludo. The Topics of Prominence (TOP https://t.co/Hwe9lgmdFs) approach in @SciVal is quite different to that used in the video, but nonetheless we see a good degree of correspondence between the map themes and the TOP.
I'm reading about the 'obsolescence' of scholarly literature today: studies show that citation activity peaks just a few years after publication, yet, with pleasing irony, I'm reading papers from 2015 (https://t.co/sWnDtmaVUU) right back to 2000 (https://t.co/1ZrCbObXDr)
