Football icon Cristiano Ronaldo has shared a touching story from his childhood, revealing how a simple act of kindness stayed with him throughout his life. ✨🫡
According to Ronaldo, when he was between 10 and 12 years old, he often struggled financially. He recalled visiting the back entrance of a nearby McDonald's at night with friends to ask if there were any leftover burgers. 🥲
The restaurant workers would sometimes give them food, a gesture he says meant a great deal to him during those difficult years.
As his career progressed and he achieved global success, Ronaldo said he made efforts to track down the women who had helped him.
After eventually finding them, he invited them and rewarded their kindness by gifting them a restaurant, saying it was his way of showing gratitude for the support they gave him when he needed it most. 🙈🤩

I’m deeply honored by the trust placed in me by H.E. President @KagutaMuseveni in appointing me as the Cabinet Minister of Works and Transport. Today, I officially assume office, taking over the mantle from my senior colleague, Gen. Katumba Wamala.
As we embark on this 2026–2031 term, our immediate priorities are clear: fast-tracking the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR), expanding Uganda Airlines' fleet, and completing stalled road projects nationwide to lower transport costs and boost our economy.
I thank Gen. Katumba for his dedicated leadership and look forward to working with the entire team at @MoWT_Uganda to build a safer, more connected nation. For God and My Country!
Today, I take on the mandate of Minister of ICT and National Guidance, I do so with humility and a clear sense of duty.
I thank H.E. @KagutaMuseveni for the trust. To the staff of the Ministry, thank you for the work done so far. I come not to replace, but to build.
My focus will be 3-fold:
Digital Transformation where we shall accelerate e-government, broadband access and ICT as a driver of jobs for our youth.
Cybersecurity and Data Protection. We need to make Uganda’s digital space safe and trusted for citizens and investors.
National Guidance. We shall use ICT to unite, inform and mobilize Ugandans around our shared values and development agenda.
I pledge to serve with integrity, consult widely and deliver results
