NASA’s Juno mission saw particles accelerated by Jupiter’s powerful magnetic field to near the speed of light.
The findings may unlock a 100-year-old mystery about even faster particles reaching Earth from distant supernovas. 🔎⚡

@AP_RaceCalls Just when you think democrats can’t lower the bar any further after electing an antisemitic communist like Mamdani, they go and nominate a literal terr0rist. And are about to nominate a Nazi in Maine.
Democrats are officially the anti America party&a threat to our nation.
The state of the Democratic party is such that it is electing a former Al-Qaeda volunteer who testified on behalf of the mastermind of the World Trade Center bombing. There is no GOP equivalent to this, not even close

@Alea1actaEst8@CollinRugg Interesting perspective. What if their kids didn't earn or deserve that wealth? Should everyone's kids get to take their parents money if they think they are self-serving worthless animals? If so, who gets to decide that, a person who has wealth or those who don't have it?🤔
I guess what I'd get to is, has their structure been fleshed out to always try to remove the slowest part or process? Have they been structured to hire and keep people that can do that or do they have lots of engineers that will keep them from moving quicker? Sure you can have one or two stand outs, but can they change the whole? We'll see I think. 🙂
So, how is dilution bad if the share price doesn't change in your mind? Doesn't having more lines of business strengthen the whole or make it more resilient? Or would you claim that adds more risk? Failure domains are a thing, but often large failure domains only mean that there is more likely to be a failure the larger it is. It doesn't typically try to determine the impact of the individual failures. Mainly because the domain is often made up of equally weighted members.
@AmericanALCHMY Mathematics often creates hypothetical equations that can be proven to work, yet they don't exist. So, I'd trust biology over math when it comes to physical embodiment. IMO
Sixty years ago, Surveyor 1 helped pave the way for Apollo by answering critical questions about operating on the lunar surface. Today, as we prepare to build the Moon Base, we’re dusting off the NASA playbook from the 1960s and beginning with the Science of Survival, learning what works and what doesn’t as we build the knowledge required so we never give up the Moon again.
@corememory It's not just the materials cost of the actuators, but the volume that can be produced. Tesla is the only one working on this in the US from the ground up. High volume, durable actuator is more important than cheap.
