He is cold but so warm at the same time
He leaves me breathless but still full of life
He comes and lights a fire within me
When he leaves it doesn’t go out
It burns all that is me and all that is around me
You know what pisses me off about the people who are clutching their pearls over the idea that people want “permanent ruin” for the Cornell 7? There is absolutely no consideration for the FACT that this woman’s life has been permanently ruined through no fault or choice of her own. THEY chose their actions. No one forced them to drug and gang rape that poor woman. They CHOSE that shit.
I once saw an episode of Oprah (I know, I know, but this matters) where she interviewed men who were in prison for sex crimes. And something that one of them said has stuck in my head for this entire time since seeing it. He said that, in his opinion, he should’ve been charged with murder. Oprah was struck by that and asked him to elaborate. He explained that what he really did by committing this crime (if I remember correctly he molested a younger family member) was killed who the girl was supposed to be. Who she would’ve have been had these horrible things never happened to her. And he was right. This victim will never get over this. She will learn to cope with it. She will learn to manage the stress, anxiety, anger, fear. But she has been given a life sentence. They deserve the same.
Like be fucking grateful no one is taking justice into their own hands, keep failing women with the legal system and shit ain’t gonna look so sweet when that does happen
Permanent ruin IS real justice
She was raped FOR SEVEN HOURS. She'll be lucky to be able to pee normally let alone get pregnant or have any kind of sex in a healthy way, + the psychological damage she will have for the rest of her life.
They deserve to be just as destroyed
Funny how men wanted to repeal the 19th amendment and completely ostracize women from society in general because of the Lindsay Clancy case, but they are conveniently silent about the hours long gang rape that took place at Cornell.
That sure fucking tracks, doesn't it?
adhd discourse would be less annoying if it was just understood as something like an intellectual/cognitive disability instead of for some reason being seen as a "mental health issue" like depression
Please don’t compare somebody’s chronic condition to the week you were really sick once.
The symptoms might sound similar.
But dealing with those symptoms week after week, month after month and year after year is a completely different experience.
im deeply mentally ill but whats crazy is that everyone in my bloodline is insane and half of them are evil so weirdly im probably the most normal person in my bloodline in years
sometimes i forget my neurodivergence actually disables me and i need to stop comparing myself to people who dont have to trya s hard as me for the same results
Living with chronic illness means constantly deciding between:
“I refuse to let my illness take everything from me” and “I need to stop pushing and give my body what it’s asking for”
I watched a video about a female grizzly who adapted to raising her cubs within 100 ft of humans. Experts surmise that she does this because male grizzlies will avoid humans (and male grizzlies are a threat to cubs). So women pick the bear, the bear picked humans and no one picked men. A modern day fable if you will.
