❤️ Morning.
I wanted to say a thank you to William Contreras for the vulnerability and willingness he showed in our interviews yesterday.
Before the game, it was heart wrenching to see him in tears & agony, grieving with his friends & family back home.
His heart was heavy.
He didn’t have to share any of that publicly, but he chose to use his platform to speak for his country and for the people he loves.
After the game, despite everything he was carrying emotionally, he gathered himself enough to offer more words to the Venezuelan people. I’m eternally grateful he trusted us with those moments.
Working in baseball has given me the privilege of getting to know so many Venezuelans over the years. They are some of the kindest, most welcoming, and most generous people I’ve ever met.
In fact, they’re the reason I started learning Spanish in the first place.
When I think about the devastation they’re experiencing right now, I don’t think of headlines, I think of beautiful hearts & souls.
Thank you, William and Jackson, for sharing your hearts with all of us yesterday. We’re praying for Venezuela, and for every family grieving and searching for hope in the aftermath of this tragedy.
I hope & pray we never become so consumed by our own lives in our own country, that we stop seeing the suffering of others.
If you’re able, take a moment to learn what’s happening, pray, and consider helping however you can. ❤️

@guidosportsfan@ToothTakei@yelichfans It took 112 World Series before the big market Cubs could win one. The Brewers have been in existence 1/2 that time. I like the Brewers chances.
@brewcitypaul Another example of why you don’t let superstars dictate your decisions as a GM. When will they learn? Nobody saw the Dame move as a mistake at the time, but it was clear that Jrue and Giannis wasn’t enough once Middleton and Lopez started aging. It was a good swing, but a miss.
@MagicJohnson Magic…you haven’t watched Bobby play too much in the last two years, have you? He’s not the same guy from those championship years. Tough guy but bad defender. Selfish/system-less shot selection. His days as an impact rotational guys have passed.
