Changing how we all think about addiction by championing the addict that gets help. Empowering them to tell their story #heroaddicts reduces the #stigma#thanks
No less than 20 times I called a rehab hotline or a center directly and was either told it would be anywhere from 2-8 weeks before a bed would be available. Can I suggest a better way...? Can you imagine having a major disease and trying to get treatment and pushed away?!?!
@staysobertoday I understand that some need to hear that we don’t all get it the first time (myself included) and I also used to have a guy that constantly used that line as a crutch!!! Don’t mistake clean time for sobriety strength!!!
@Notdrugaddicts@Punkin2x1974@IAlwaysBelieve@ThomasKlineMD I remember when my Dr told me, “eh just know it won’t kill you” talking about pain and withdrawals. I hope to help shed some light on all of the issues surrounding, chronic pain, addiction...
@Punkin2x1974@IAlwaysBelieve@Notdrugaddicts@ThomasKlineMD No there is not a huge difference between dependency and addiction... https://t.co/NZ4CCwEgtD And it’s not black and white. Many CPP are addicts. And I pray they err on the side of caution & be careful. I just wanna helpz
Anxiety is a natural feeling to have, but to suffer with an anxiety disorder is quite different. Here are some things that help me with my anxiety. https://t.co/KubP4omsSV
@RTalksabout I agree and understand totally with you. Sometimes I just need to be alone. I understand where my family is concerned too though. Growing pains...there is trust there now and it gets better daily.
@Notdrugaddicts@IAlwaysBelieve@ThomasKlineMD Same here, I never failed a test and until I was prescribed pain meds I just went w/out. I’m not against you. But the words and approach that some use towards addiction...well you wouldn’t fight a cause for cancer by demeaning stroke sufferers. I am cpp and in recovery.
@DrKimSue @ZachRosnerMD I absolutely support this idea!!! All parties that are involved should have a platform to give their thoughts. I know I have a lot of ideas and I know there are so many people like me who want to help!!!
@Punkin2x1974@IAlwaysBelieve@Notdrugaddicts@ThomasKlineMD There is a difference however not huge, the facts are that despite overdose deaths, no one is looking at the fact that the amount of opiate addicts in America has quadrupled in the few years. And dependence increases likelyhood of addiction.
Do you ever feel anxious because your anxiety keeps you awake and you feel like you’re bothering them so you go to couch then they think something is wrong with them...anxiety increase for the third time and no sleep that night. It snowballs.
