At 15, I was told I wouldn't be able to walk again.
At 18, I was wheelchair bound, overweight at 80kg and living alone in London being told I was unfit to be at uni.
Today at 23, I'm lifting 4x weekly, 55kg, graduated and thriving.
You can beat the odds, I did it gracefully.
@DerrickEmpowers Derrick!! I’m so glad to know you’re doing well, how was your birthday?
Your wishes and thoughts mean a lot, I’ve been focusing on realigning with how to get my message out to more people and took a small break.
I am hoping to be back soon!
@TheLosBurgos Intentionality is so important for this reason.
When you become aware of how you function and what ‘good’ is for you, you can start to make choices that actually serve your alignment.
@katrinpetau I enjoy a two hour workout now but when you’re still building that habit, a consistent focused effort will always solidify your foundations.
Do. The. Work.
The ‘soft life’ isn’t about avoiding hard things, it’s about moving through them with grace.
Grace looks like:
- Choosing prayer over panic.
- Resting instead of rushing.
- Knowing when silence says enough.
- Taking care of your mind, body and soul.
- Doing the internal work as a non-negotiable.
- Making a new choice even when it’s tough.
- Resilience without applause.
Softness isn’t weakness. It’s wisdom embodied.
Doing the work = holding the mirror up and accepting what’s there.
You have everything that it takes to excel in life but when you are unable to accept yourself due to self limiting beliefs, you stay stagnant.
You overcome this by building internal awareness and cultivating strength regardless of the hand you’ve been dealt.
@sheshn94 It’s all information that you can retrieve in order to benefit your internal/ external growth process.
Living life unapologetically is a muscle you have to train.
@SourdoughWeekly These look SO good!!
Baking on weekends has to be up there with my top three things to do ( on any day tbh) but it brings so much love into the house and outside if I’m distributing.
I hope you had a lovely weekend😊
