It is the first time that this kind of issue has come to light. What is going on in KEMU? Torturing students mentally for 5 straight years was not enough that it had to come to physical abuse.

All of these things are just tip of the iceberg. Everyone from top to bottom is responsible for this. And I think we as #Kemcolians deserve this, because we even didn’t do anything for ourselves. To get justice. To be tested fairly.

To add to all this King Edward has gone back 50 years since the start of Professor Gondal era, when the whole system of the university changed. Every HOD acting in their own way and doing whatever they want. #Bootlicking era and unfortunately it hasn’t stopped.

This kind of mockery of the system has to stop. Acting like you have all the power and you can do whatever you want without any accountability, it’s the worst thing about our system and not only at KEMU.

Professors like Dr. Saqib Sohail, Dr. Nakhsab just get promoted so they can carry their brutal torture for as long as they want. And if someone tries to do something about it, you fail in your exam. And if that’s not enough they just detain you.

It has been reported that Dr. Saqib Sohail, Head of the Department of Physiology at @kemuofficial, physically assaulted a medical student with a stick during a lecture, in the presence of nearly 300 students. There are also multiple accounts of his history of verbal abuse and public humiliation of students.
I strongly urge KEMU and the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (@pmc_org) to investigate this incident with urgency. Such behavior is not only unethical but criminal. Individuals who engage in violence and intimidation have no place in academic institutions. Legal and disciplinary action must be taken to ensure student safety and uphold professional standards.

@pmc_org boasts about the success of over 1,000 Pakistani medical students and graduates securing residency training in the USA, despite not playing a meaningful role in their achievements. Meanwhile, Pakistan has reached the top spot for global diabetes prevalence, and the private hospital sector is taking advantage of doctors by offering them shockingly low wages, yet PMDC remains silent on these issues. This clearly highlights their true priorities.
