@CourtWatchME I have been asked and have accepted appointments in Hancock, Penobscot, and Somerset Counties. I doubt if I will do so again. Somerset made me drive from Lewiston to Skowhegan for a 5 minute docket call! My Hancock client is at the Maine State Prison in Warren.
Yet again, @GovJanetMills has vetoed a criminal justice bill w the broadest coalition of support possible. LD 844 would have restricted the authority of the courts to impose onerous & coercive conditions of release for probation & bail. Now it's all but dead. #mepolitics
@willchamberlain You idiot. You choose to tarnish this professionalβs reputation without any evidence. You should be banned from all social media for engaging in such a reprehensible act.
@TinaHeat23@SenSusanCollins Collins is a right wing senator hiding in moderate clothes. The fact that she got buffaloed by the three alt right Justices. Shows her lack of intelligence and judgement.
State police haven't gotten the memo that in the "war on drugs", drugs have won. And will always win. And the collateral damage to human beings in this war is incalculable. But sure, forget the constitution because you think this is a winnable war. Stooges.
@TinaHeat23 I am on board with u Tina.. I would hope that with some newer Judges who would be a commit
to assisting our indigent clients by providing the resources we, as defense counsel, need. I also want the Judges to advocate for better health care in our jails.
I wish Maine's judiciary would use their voices to promote things that would further "the fair administration of justice." This includes full funding for indigent defense & advocating for parity in resourcing between prosecutors & the defense.
