The theme of Day 2 of the kids being off from school for “severe cold temperatures”: Wins-Day. I’m teaching a @MarkBatterson inspired Masterclass about living in day-tight compartments, complete with personal checklists for how we can each take actions to #WinTheDay.
What do you do when one of your kiddos is having a rough time managing big feelings on a canceled school “cold day”? Take a one-on-one break and have her read you “The Best Worst Day Ever” by @MarkBatterson to help change the pace, change the place, and change her perspective. 🥰
Amazing episode of @craiggroeschel Leadership Podcast with author and Pastor @MarkBatterson. Combo of the two men = single conversation containing 2/4 of my “Mount Rushmore” of spiritual mentors and influencers. Check it out!

For tonight’s Cold Full Moon, totally took my kiddos on a two-foot field trip to marvel at the moon, planets, and stars, channeling my inner Moon/Space Nerd™ and taking the advice of two of my favorite authors and pastors, @MarkBatterson and @levilusko. 🤓🌕
@MarkBatterson Last night, my wife asked me what is something for which I am thankful that I usually don’t think about/express gratitude for. Wow…Where do I even start?!?
“When is the last time I thanked God for ______?”
#AMillionLittleMiracles
My latest creative writing and design project, inspired by, written for, and gifted to a dear friend, and also based on the true story (and actual penny) included in the poem. Reminder: no one/nothing is too far gone - you are forever loved and valued by your Heavenly Father.
@MarkBatterson I followed your advice from “A Million Little Miracles” and took a 4-hour Lego break with our kiddos this morning. Here is just one the random creations we teamed up to create. Everything is awesome!
I don’t always get through a book in under 24 hours, but when I do, it’s an amazing book like the newest one by one of my favorite authors @MarkBatterson, “A Million Little Miracles.” Such a great book that I can’t recommend enough! 🙌🏻
@JonAcuff “And I would run 500 miles, and I would run 500 more, just to be the man who ran 1,000 miles to reach his yearly goal!”
And yes, I busted through the front door on an energy and endorphin high like the Kool Aid man after the goal-reaching run! #ATG#SpareChange
Four components for crafting the story:
1. Identifiable Characters
2. Emotions (the struggle, the hope)
3. A Specific Moment (set the scene - people and place)
4. Specific Details

Finding the story:
• Make a list of your values: Stories of them in action or being tested.
• Make a list of important people: Stories of what they taught you.
