You should use Signal. Seriously. There are other encrypted messaging apps out there, but I don’t have as much faith in their longevity. In particular I have major concerns about the sustainability of for-profit apps in our new “AI” world.
@letonyo@Vinod_MIT If you follow the link https://t.co/R2GveKAckn you will see that it is indeed part of a FOIA request. Whether that counts as a publication is up to debate, but at least it's public.
@quantum_graeme Genuine question: Any opinion on Carlo Rovelli's "relational" re-interpretation of Everettian QM (which does away with the many worlds by sacrificing the subject/object division)?
@QuantumYakar@letonyo@DulwichQuantum (Of course most implementers will—and should!—employ hybrid systems, i.e. both post-quantum and pre-quantum algorithms, but that does not make it any less of a publicity stunt at this point, just not outright stupidity.)
@QuantumYakar@letonyo@DulwichQuantum It's a lot easier to break an immature PQC implementation than it is to build a cryptographically relevant quantum computer and solve discrete logarithms.
@QuantumYakar@letonyo@DulwichQuantum (I read his post as a critizism of Zoom's practice, but I admit I am not entirely sure if this was his ultimate point.)
@QuantumYakar@letonyo@DulwichQuantum Yes, but if Zoom uses PQC for encryption, that would mean that the case Anthony mentions is already being covered, and that Zoom may be right in prioritizing efficiency over quantum-securing authentication for the time being.
If you're in the EU and you're not ready to delete your facebook account for whatever reason (I feel you—I *wish* I could get rid of mine), then this is hopefully a path to at least not have your face stored forever in the mind of their new Meta AI system: https://t.co/LTt53jqXuf
Happy to announce that I am one of the winners of the recently-announced Best Slides Award at @IACReurocrypt 2024 (... affiliated events)! Check out the list other winners too—it's an entertaining read🔥♂️

As part of its "Future Made in Australia" agenda, Australian government just gave $1b of taxpayer money to @PsiQuantum, a US-based tech start-up. How come?

Had a chat with these awesome guys the other day about Chen's LWE algorithm. (Fun fact, the news about the bug in step 9 dropped only 15 minutes before the interview!) #eprint555
A preprint dropped couple weeks ago *almost* broke Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) and got everyone in the quantum & crypto communities excited! In this video, let's see what this is all about, with an awesome interview w/ PQC expert Dr. @Heum! (1/5)
