@clintwfischer We got into sheep and love it. Started real small and planning to grow pretty quickly now that we got some experience. A lot cheaper to get into and sale prices are pretty stable relative to cattle. Steep learning curve though. A sick sheep becomes a dead sheep pretty fast.

@benjaminaustic I actually had a good conversation with a meat customer and explained when roundup is used the kernels aren’t there yet. Spent a good amount of time explaining farming and answering her questions. She ended up buying some of our corn fed beef.

@longstoryfarms We buy dollar store bags. They’re like $1.25. We lose when someone buys 1 lb of ground beef, but some people fill them up. We are thinking of getting a better quality bag with our logo and would then have to go to a minimum order to give away, or charge for them on small orders

@chris_paavola I dislike the ‘kids room’ at church. A fully stocked playroom gives them somewhere else they want to be instead of happy in the pew with a handful of toy cars. Why would I go through the work if going when it always ends up just watching them in the toy room?

@sanegrain Wear hi-vis coats or shirts. If something happens in the dark it’s much easier for EMS to find you with a spotlight.

@CO_Drylander Our kids are always wearing hi vis colors. We taught the oldest to stand way to the side and wave until I acknowledge that I see her and then I’ll shut things down and go to her. Also we just keep them inside if there’s heavy skid loader work being done
