@GigaBasedDad buildings due to its complexity of spaces and defines Paris as one of the leaders in architecture during the baroque period. Just because it doesn’t have ornaments does not mean a building is any less historically significant (or beautiful for that matter)

@GigaBasedDad how an architect can design both the facade and floor plan to a less constrained degree I.e exterior walls no longer had to be load bearing illustrated by a entire exteriors width of window(can’t bear a load on a window…). Palais garnier is one of my all time favorite-
