@Tharizdun03 I think it's a very good way to show world building and add stakes in an otherwise comfortable show. Would you have preferred it not? Like I think they used it to explore characters and the world very well, even if a little shoehorned.
I like the variety of situations we see too
@Tazerrtot I can see why this would be the case, and I don't intend on arguing people should believe otherwise, I just meant to explain why people would identify such a way. I appreciate you saying people can identify as trans anyway, you're right!
@_souper__ I think anyone who identifies as trans is trans, and medically transitioning is not the only way to transition imo. I know the "It feels disingenuous" thing sounded like it applied to everyone but really I just meant thats how it feels for people who identify as NB and not trans
@xXS1nfulXx@Liv_Agar@MissVespertine You're still under the nonbinary label because of course the binary might not exactly express how you feel, and you still are able to express femininity and/or masculinity in ways that aren't exactly exclusive to transition
@xXS1nfulXx@Liv_Agar@MissVespertine Mostly people who don't necessarily have to transition to express their gender properly. Like don't have to take hormones, buy certain clothes, experience dysphoria. It feels disingenuous labeling yourself trans when there's no effort you need to put in to express you.
@MBana72055 @downlyup @sgodofsk@browserdotsys Those are great people, but it's generally understood to always be safe unless you trust the people prior to drinking! People can still feel uncomfortable around well-meaning people.
@Sun_3_is_god_ Why would splashwall be the worst thing it could get??? Like it'd have more use cases than curling imo, in a narrow space it'd be nice to have cover with how committal the shots are, although I know it's an annoying and ink guzzling set up time
@zxidart I only watched the live action movie and it certainly did not have these themes ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ So seeing all of this has made me retroactively disappointed in the movie
@OliyTC@kaasiand Splatoon 2s ranking system for too long as just that damned bar and it was like too easy to climb so I always remember splatoon 1 being the best even if that doesn't really line up with the latter half of 2s lifespan
@F0ULTARNISHED@lovecrashdown Even if your expression/label isn't under the binary, your experiences can still fall under the "womanhood" or "manhood" umbrella, I think of it like this anyway
@XBOXPissBaby that does not detract from the appeal for most people, a lot of people like that style of comedy so anything like it is appealing, I never really cared for stuff like that though
