Biblical doctrine must be the foundation of our civic involvement. We must be led by love and truth...
When conservatism means preserving unjust systems and institutions, it must be opposed. When progressivism means moving from God’s truth, it too must be opposed.
@AndCampaign
If objective morales and values do not exist, EVERY moral judgement we make about various political figures boils down to mere preferences and taste.
One day I like chocolate, the next day I like vanilla.
But if objective morales and values exist, then God exists.
All this moral grand standing and virtue signaling over the past few weeks is getting really LAME
If you dug deep enough , I’m willing to bet most do it out of GUILT, FEAR, wanting to be liked or seen as a “good person”, not wanting to be called racist, sexist etc, living for the expectations of others or the perceive brand that we think we created for ourselves
Why I find this performative is because the very things they get outraged/virtue signal about, are the very same things pushed by the MSM
It’s almost irrational to find something to be outraged with every other day.
We are not meant to be concerned with everything under the sun.
We aren’t meant to be fixing all the ills of the world but rather within our own community
As C S Lewis says on the danger of getting too much news
“It is one of the evils of rapid diffusion of news that the sorrows of all the world come to us every morning. I think each village was meant to feel pity for its own sick and poor whom it can help and I doubt if it is the duty of any private person to fix his mind on ills which he cannot help..
A great many people (not you) do now seem to think that the mere state of being worried is in itself meritorious. I don’t think it is. We must, if it so happens, give our lives for others: but even while we’re doing it, I think we’re meant to enjoy Our Lord and, in Him, our friends, our food, our sleep, our jokes, and the birds’ song, and the frosty sunrise”
The Gospel is not a sales pitch, where we try to get people to buy into
We need to stop bending over backwards to try to make people like us or accept us.
“Maybe if we are nice enough they will become a Christian”
“Maybe if I agree that left is right and up is down, they will become a Christian”
People turn away from God because of their own depravity.
Jesus is King, ruling from his throne.
We announce that his Kingdom is here, and he is LORD of all.
Whether people accept this truth, it doesn’t change the fact that Jesus is still KING today, yesterday and forevermore
Just as the Silver Surfer heralds Galactus in F4
We herald King Jesus
I’ve noticed a trend among some Christians.
The Old Testament only becomes an interesting book when it comes to matters of justice and they want to sound like the “prophets of the past”
Outside their framework of justice, the OT becomes a boring text, not worth studying or understanding for its own sake.
It only becomes interesting for their sake
My faith doesn’t withdraw from culture. It informs it.
Truth, Ordered Love, Faithful Presence
Politically: We steward justice not salvation
Relationally: We love in hierarchy not sentiment
Culturally: We’re salt and light, not mirrors
“Real empathy actually costs something.
But performative empathy just needs an audience.
It aligns itself with whatever opinion is already popular, so you get the social credit and acceptance without taking any risk, without having to hold multiple truths in tension.
We all want comfort.
But complexity is uncomfortable.
Wrestling with hard things is uncomfortable.
And actually helping people is uncomfortable too.”
Here’s what I noticed about the Christians who are loud on immigration right now
1) They quote Leviticus 19 out of context while ignoring the call for assimilation
2) Most of them don’t believe that anyone should be deported
3) They quote Matthew 25 out of context, reducing the “least of these” to universal charity when the text says otherwise
4) They are easily emotionally manipulated by the media. I call this the human shield strategy - show a picture of a child and they will bow down to the narrative of the media.
5) They have also become self appointed gatekeepers of Christianity, deciding who’s in and who’s out. “Real Christians do xyz”
6) They sound like the Pharisees in Luke 18 in the Parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector, constantly having moral superiority over everyone else.
The birth of the Islamic state of Iran in 1979 comes from Communist Marxist Left partnering up with Islamist to overthrow the incumbent secular government.
Once the government was overthrown the Islamists killed the leftist because in a battle of the will, the Islamist will always win as they have nothing to lose and everything to gain in Jannah

White womens lives only matter when its convenient, not when they are randomly stabbed, raped, or set on fire
White tears only matters when its convenient , otherwise they're called fragile Karens who bask in their privellege who de-center the conversation from the real oppressed folks
It is now okay to call HAMAS a terrorists organization overnight, otherwise they are the ultimate freedom fighters who champion human rights
Two things can now be true at the same time, but only if it fits the narrative, otherwise pick a side or get cancelled
Palestinian lives are the most important to activists, Venezualans and Iranians aren’t worth the effort to organize a protests or march on the streets.
The obvious question is what idea is driving this and what is the common denominator uniting these events?
