The BYU football team is staying here at Embassy Suites and I’ve shared an elevator with several players. If we don’t absolutely manhandle their line, we don’t deserve to be in the SEC. This team is little and cocky.

One son and his wife waited until 35 years old to have their first child. After six months, his wife said, “Why did we wait this long to have children? We’ve got this! We want to have another!”

Life is full of surprises and exciting twists along the way, but almost nothing compares to having children.

It’s also one of the most meaningful things you can ever do in making it possible for one of God’s children to obtain what we already have: a physical body and a chance to progress along the path toward eternity.

It gives your life purpose and helps overcome the natural tendency to selfishness as you have to devote yourself to the wellbeing of someone completely helpless the first year of their life.

It’s one of the best ways to grow as a person in a way that cannot come in any other way.

I’m genuinely grateful to hear that from my daughter-in-law, as they now know the joy we felt when our children were born. A Spirit comes at the birth of a child that envelops the Father as he has been given the commission to raise that child and provide and teach it. For me, it happened with every child we had and is marvelous!

It’s a joy that cannot come nor be understood in any other way!

And our adversary would do everything possible to ensure this doesn’t happen. He doesn’t want families. He doesn’t want children born or people to grow. He does everything possible to diminish demean and prevent anyone from following God’s plan.

In our selfish society, families are considered restrictive, old-fashioned, too much work, etc., but he can never have a family. He can never know this joy. If he can distract and prevent us from following God’s plan, he will significantly damage those who follow his temptations.

Even through all the trials and struggles we’ve had raising children, joy comes from having them that cannot be obtained in any other way. Another daughter commented that despite attending nursing school and struggling with two young children, she describes her joy in having them.

I pray that each one of us will do what we can to promote families and encourage those who are listening to the loud voices of the world to follow God‘s plan of happiness.

We swore we’d never fly @united after our 2019 flight fiasco but it was one of very few options with a flight between Addis Abba, Ethiopia and Nairobi, Kenya. We will never fly them again & you shouldn’t either

Last time we flew @united they cancelled the last leg of our flight without notification multiple times (including one the day of travel). Today they kicked ticketed passengers off a flight so standby passengers could get on and then lost our single checked bag. NEVER AGAIN
