@jeremyfaust Took my healthy young adult son to the ER for an odd headache on Election Day. Thanks to the ACA he’s still on our insurance. I can’t help thinking about if he wasn’t insured because he didn’t seem THAT sick. We’re still inpatient and because we brought him in, he has a future.

@katienotopoulos @benwikler My kids have always loved voting with me, and then proudly telling local candidates if they’re greeting at the polls whether I voted for them. Nothing like an 8 year old hand on hips looking up at my neighbor saying, “My mom didn’t vote for you!”

I live in a very red NC County, for the first time in my memory we have a Democrat on the ballot for county commissioner and State Representative. They may not win but their presence shows we’re still here.
