I actually feel quite emotional about our leaders are finally talking about proper reform of social care, after so many different governments completely ignored the issue (with the exception of a short-lived, ill-fated proposal from Theresa May). Those of us who have seen first-hand how broken the current system is have been trying to highlight it for years but consecutive prime ministers, chancellors and health secretaries didn’t want to know.
