Leading into this pandemic, many HC agencies did an incredible job of contingency planning, including contracting with staffing agencies & paying retainer fees to have HC staff “on deck”. If any HC agencies have these contracts & not using, please release to those in need ASAP.

LHINs/OH have close to 4000 Care Coordinators that are regulated care providers: redeploy them from their home offices to LTC, RH or Participation Homes. These are super hard days, they know community and we sure could use their help, even in non-outbreak settings. Please step up

Acute care capacity at an all-time low, we see the stats everyday. Hospitals are incredible partners: mobilize hospital SWAT teams for homes in outbreak, PH lists of homes in outbreak, to proactively reach out to those in need and use the levers available to just do it.

TRUTH Ontario Health has enough front line capacity to redeploy to long-term care, retirement homes and congregate care in a coordinated manner. We shouldn’t have to exhaust all efforts in calling for help, issue public pleas, implore quicker action, or have @CanadianArmy step in
