80% of schools in 🇸🇸 lack menstrual hygiene facilities making girls miss school. Menstrual hygiene products should be accessible to all who need them. 🇬🇧 is working towards a #PeriodFriendlySouthSudan this #MenstrualHygieneDay through our efforts to improve #SRHR

On #WorldHealthDay2024 we celebrate @HPFSouthSudan which has been #endingpreventabledeaths since 2012 by supporting health workers & providing ~10,000 tonnes of 💊

It has:
✅ provided 23m consultations
✅ vaccinated 2.6m children
✅ supported >650,000 safe deliveries

Last week, the Essential Services Team visited our partners @HPFSouthSudan & @WVSouthSudan in Yambio.

Their work has supported essential maternal & child health services over the last decade, helping to #endpreventabledeaths in South Sudan.

I had no idea how far we would go when I started it in 2022, but it has been one of the best things about my time here. Very proud of and grateful for this lot!

✅ provided 3 consignments of drugs a year
✅ delivered over 21m outpatient consultations
✅ vaccinated 2.4m children

The Health Pooled Fund (HPF) has delivered life-saving health services to hundreds of facilities in 🇸🇸 providing 10,000 tonnes of medicines since 2012.

Yesterday, Ambassador @GuyWarrington visited the @HPFSouthSudan warehouse in Juba with partners from 🇨🇦🇸🇪 & @MoHSouthSudan

They witnessed the distribution of the final consignment of medicines to over 500 health facilities in 🇸🇸

As HPF begins the final consignment distribution, yesterday we welcomed visitors to our warehouse in Juba including members of MoH & donors. 512 facilities across 7 states will benefit from deliveries.

Since 2012, this initiative has provided approximately 10,000 tonnes of essential medicines to hundreds of health facilities across South Sudan.
