If a bill to stop sending $40 million a week to the Taliban sat in the Senate Majority Leader’s possession for 11 months, and he claims he hasn’t seen it, we deserve answers.

Time for John Thune to Step Down as Senate Majority Leader?

Senate Majority Leader John Thune has had months — since at least March — to deliver on the SAVE America Act and key election integrity reforms like proof of citizenship and voter ID.

Instead, Thune has dismissed supporters pushing for the bill as “paid influencers.” More recently, Sen. John Cornyn called grassroots activist Scott Presler a “grifter.”

We need a Senate Leader who will talk some sense into Republican senators who are talking down on American patriots demanding the SAVE America Act be passed into law.

Republicans were given the majority to deliver these priorities. If Thune can’t get it done, it’s time for him to step aside as Leader.

Strong leadership means respecting the base and delivering results — not dismissing them.

If the GOP does get new leadership in the Senate, then who should it be?

I’m still liking Senator Mike Lee from Utah.
