@TradingThomas3 A hot PCE print of .35 or higher - rounded to .4% can reverse the algos because it will spike the 10 year. 3-5% broad market correction. Don’t discount it.
@DudeWhoInvests The market likely priced in the end of the conflict with the ceasefire. Its main focus has been blowout earnings in the AI trade. Everything else is just noise and bad news has been ignored entirely.
@0xAralez Corporate earnings has been the fuel for this rally. No major earnings remain. Market can’t ignore all macro headwinds forever. After 8 winning weeks a pullback is not unhealthy.
@Jake__Wujastyk Who is left to sell? Investors hold or add to their positions. Short sellers have or will have to cover, some with stop buys that are being taken out this morning. New investors see an entry point on an oversold stock. Whipsaw works in both directions.
@PPB1774@RobinDuggan3@BulwarkOnline If you inherited this account in 2019 then you’ve experienced the covid dip and the S&P down over 20% in 2022. Those events and this are opportunities to reassess and rebalance.
@PPB1774@RobinDuggan3@BulwarkOnline Sounds like your mother did well over that time. As an inherited IRA there are no cap gains on the sale of equities. You should talk to a professional about reallocation based on your risk profile
@RobinDuggan3@BulwarkOnline Glad you still have them. But owning single stocks esp TGT which has been really volatile since Covid at their ages is likely not in line with their risk profile. We’ve had 5 20% or more declines since 09. Limiting equity exposure is key for those on a fixed income.
@RobinDuggan3@BulwarkOnline Your parents sound like great hard working people. Id hope all those like them saved using a diversified portfolio over their careers which became more conservatively allocated as they neared retirement helping to reduce volatility. A 25% drawdown is mitigated in this strategy.
@RobinDuggan3@BulwarkOnline If you’re on the verge of retirement then your portfolio should be more conservatively allocated So he is not wrong about that. If this hypothetical person has been saving their whole career they’ve been buying equities for decades which have performed very well.
@RobinDuggan3@BulwarkOnline Not an enforcement of policy but I did understand the response. The Great Recession, Covid and the proceeding period of high inflation also caused massive equity drawdowns. These events often seem world ending in the moment but viewed over a long term of equities they are not.
@Alfonzo10432880@Microinteracti1 We are over 3 years into Russia’s 48 hour “special military operation.” Over 3 years How many Russians are dead in order to occupy 5th of their much smaller neighbor? They’re a farce.
@MrMaitra Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is definitely at the top of the pointless and short sighted military history list. More than 3 years into a 48 hour “special military operation” there are 250k dead Russians and they occupy less than a 5th of their neighbor.
@VasBroughtToX @RussiaIsntEnemy The US military industrial complex was the reason for the allied victory. The ability to drastically out produce the axis powers while diminishing their capabilities led to total victory.
@jacksonhinkle Who cares? 3 years into his failed invasion in which he sent 250k of his soldiers to died in order to occupy less than 1/5th of Ukraine. The vail of strength was pierced a week into this war.
@amuse NATO is a coalition of the willing. Countries join because they want to. They share values of free elections and free markets. Russia should be worried because her people want the same. Only through an oppressive dictatorship can Putin suppress the natural will of people.
@MedvedevRussiaE Don’t invade Ukraine and there wouldnt have been a war. Leave Ukraine now and there will no longer be a war. This isn’t that difficult a concept.
