What is music? "Music is the organization of sound according to the principles of objective beauty, which are proportion, harmony, simplicity, and complexity."

Institutions drift. The ones that stay faithful have people who remember why they were founded and are willing to say so out loud.
On @RYMRadio, Dr. Keith Mathison and I discussed the controversies of the 1990s and why they still matter to the church today. Keith recalled that Dr. Sproul did not want @RefBibleCollege to continue if it ever departed from Scripture. @Ligonier lives under the same conviction.
That is a demanding thing to build into an institution, and I thank God for colleagues like Keith who still hold to it.

I've truly enjoyed reading this from @HHTDobson.
It covers so many fascinating facets about music, beauty, and art. You don't have to be a musician to enjoy this book.
Believing that Jesus is anything less than God strikes at the heart of the Christian faith.
