@transitive_bs@HackerResidency Hey, after reading this I'd like to add some things to my application, please consider it:
- I've been building in public, but moved to linkedin and instagram a while back this is week 18 of me posting regular updates there:

Azure docs are shitty, confusing and almost illogical at times.
@satyanadella pls fix this asap if you are not convinced try to create api keys to authenticate MS Teams with a new account.
Now let's think about the fly.
This is, in our view, a real uploaded animal. We don't know what its experience is — nobody does. But we take the possibility seriously, and we're working to give it a rich environment, not just a test box.
If you're going to build this technology, you have to care about the beings you create with it. That starts now, at the smallest scale.
Unfortunately this is the scene freelancers deal with on regular basis, clients do not pay what was agreed upon or just ignore for days when they get their job done.
Clients will go far enough to manipulate you to work on pay-cuts
@honeyveda_in shame on you
This is the condition of freelancing in India.
I don’t usually use X for this. But sometimes you have to speak up so other freelancers don’t walk into the same trap.
Around August 2025, I worked on a project with Honey Veda (they also appeared on @sharktankindia )
The workflow was standard: 50% upfront, 50% after delivery
Everything was delivered fully documented and completed.
After delivery, the person I was directly working with this guy Vivek Rajoria — suddenly changed the narrative. The project was apparently “not complete” anymore, despite receiving 100% of the deliverables.
Then the classic move started: Ghosting. Delays. “Talk to the CEO Hardik Joshi instead.”
The CEO Hardik Joshi apparently hardly have time to check his email, whatsapp, and all the communication media, even a cellular call. Must be an extremely busy schedule lol.
After months of chasing a payment that was already earned, I eventually gave up for my own mental peace.
That was 7 months ago.
Today something unexpected happened. They accidentally added me to their SEO strategy call that was meant for another freelancer. I joined the call, greeted everyone normally. They said I was added by mistake.
But since the CEO was on the call, I thought it was the perfect time to ask about the pending payment.
The moment I started speaking: The CEO instantly left the call, then Vivek Rajoria started abusing me, and then he left the call as well. Professionalism at its finest.
Fortunately, I recorded the call.
The video below shows exactly how the conversation went.
I’m posting this for one reason:
Freelancers deserve to be paid for work they deliver. If you’re working with HoneyVeda, make sure your payment terms are protected.
Learn from my mistake.
The early founder years are one of the most stressful phases of life.
Most are really not talking about it.
- Some friends are climbing the corporate ladder and taking crazy vacations.
- Someone just bought their first home
- Someone already feels “settled”
And you’re still trying to turn an idea into a company.
At the same time:
- Your bank account keeps shrinking
- Investors keep saying “too early”
- users never seem to care and retain on your product
- People around you don’t fully get what you’re building
- your mom ask when you will get a real job
- Nights are full of overthinking
- The runway clock keeps ticking
- Time feels like it’s moving too fast yet progress is slow
And the hardest part?
- You smile to your friends and family
- You say “things are going well.”
- At 2 AM you wonder if this will ever work.
But remember:
- You’re not behind, you are on a different path
- You’re doing something incredibly hard
If you’re in this phase, be impatient for actions, patient with results and don’t give up.
Building something from zero takes time.
Anyone else feeling this lately? ✋
