Day 218 | Editing Every Day Until I Make It
Money: $0 | Goal: $1,600 X Followers: 86 Mood: Honest
Today was rough. Made some bad decisions with my time, couldn't make it to the gym, had to eat out.
Not proud of how the day went. But now it's night and I'm still here, making up for the lost hours.
Some days you just don't get it right.
The important thing is to not let it carry over to tomorrow.
Good night everyone and may God be with you! 🙏🏽

Mood: Good, but tired
Started a new project today, planned it out, studied the content, made solid progress. Productive day overall.
Hit chest and triceps at the gym. Good session.
Also spent some time studying the creative side of editing (references, breakdowns, planning). And made some progress on my book.
Slept badly the last two nights, so tonight I'm going to bed early.
Tomorrow there's even more to do.
Good night everyone and God bless you all. 🙏
@NoobEditor_1 From tutorials, brother!! To be honest I don't remember the exact video, but if you search 'glass effect tutorial' on YouTube, you'll find plenty of them! Hope it helps!
Tonight’s practice. No client Work today, do I used the time to study and improve my technical and creative skills. The goal is always to bring more value to the client!
Currently building my Inspo board!
Video Editors, i highly recommend creating a folder full of inspiration and references. It will make your life a lot easier when the creative block hits.

Mood: Good
No client work today. Used the time to study and keep the habits sharp, even on slow days, I try to stay as disciplined as possible.
Didn't hit the gym today, but ran 7km. That counts.
Had a conversation with a potential client today, a big one. Expectations are low just because of how big they are, but God is in control.
Now off to do some outreach.
Good night everyone. 🙏
You can think of a video as having 3 parts: title, thumbnail, and editing.
Title and thumbnail make people click. Editing makes people stay.
To make a video perform well, you need to go through a few steps (studying references, breaking them down, planning the video) and ask yourself some key questions. The most important one: "What does the viewer want to see?"
As a video editor, your goal is to make the message clear and easy to digest. Remember, the viewer clicked because of the title and thumbnail. Now you have to deliver what they came for.
Below is a vlog I edited. We got a great result, but the question now is: how do we make it even better?

Mood: Happy but tired
Spent the whole morning and afternoon working. Productive day overall.
Hit chest today at the gym — but my traps have been killing me all day. Could be a bad night's sleep, sitting too long, stress… probably all of the above. Busy Sunday.
But honestly? I lost way too much time just searching for the right music. I always want to find the perfect track and it ends up costing me hours. That's something I need to get better at.
Also might be closing a new client soon. We'll see.
God bless you all. 🙏
As a video editor, I spend a lot of time alone in front of a screen.
Going to the gym and actually talking to people is always a breath of fresh air.
Talk to the receptionist, chat with the older guy doing his thing… I always have a good time and it breaks the routine a little. I encourage you to do the same. Today was a good one! 💪
