@fandybtw@JDM_Jenna You might want to read more about the case before posting. She told multiple providers, and her family members about the thoughts and voices. They had her on over a dozen medications, which she took as prescribed, and was left alone with the children instead of given treatment.
@RigoIrizarry Going on a trip to Costa Rica with your lover 28 days after all 3 of your children are killed and your wife is paralyzed is *insane*.
Firing the nanny when she was having severe struggles is wild. Having her medications is wild. Not immediately running to find your children…
@sitch_monitor@shinboson Does that make it “okay”? Absolutely not. An absolute tragedy took place. But I think you start look at the people who knew the person was hearing voices telling them to shoot their friends and who left them unsupervised, and acknowledge that psychosis is a real thing
@sitch_monitor@shinboson And all sources reported them as previously very well-liked and well-adjusted and adoring of the very people who they killed and they tried to throw themselves off a roof and ended up paralyzed to end the pain…
@theisabelb This argument is idiotic. Plenty of men have been deemed not guilty by reason of criminal insanity. “Postpartum PSYCHOSIS” is a type of psychosis, and the reading of “hormones mean women can do whatever and it’s fine” really speaks to the literacy crisis
@FuckedUpYogis@LauraRbnsn But that is not the same situation as all… there are plenty of victim’s families who forgive their loved one’s killers and ask for clemency.
No one is saying that killing the children was fine bc honor or any other reason… they’re saying she was insane when she did it
@_kaboosky@neerajadeshp Is that what happened with years of men excusing rapists and abusers and calling mass shooters ‘troubled young men? Because men commit far and away more violence.
This woman is dead. If a woman is found not guilty by reason of insanity, they’re remanded to a psychiatric tacitly
