Feeling grateful and vulnerable - my record, Over Hells, is out now. It’d mean a whole lot to an indie artist like me if you gave it a listen and let me know what you think 🫱🏼🫲🏽🦅
18 months. $5 trillion fucking dollars in 18 months. And we still don't have healthcare. And they gutted education. And food assistance. And food safety, and clean air, and clean water. And cut 300k federal jobs. Where the actual fuck is that new spending actually going?
Trump must be impeached for undermining and subverting our free and fair elections. And when he sends ICE agents to the polls, then we must turn civic action into civil disobedience and take to the streets. Sit in. Protest. Withhold our labor. Everything must be on the table.
Donald Trump’s spiral continues. The failed president, pocketing billions as he drives up prices, is afraid to lose the midterms. So he will reheat debunked election conspiracy theories and tell bizarre new lies to deny his 2020 defeat and attack voting rights. This is a disaster for Trump puppet Mike Collins. Already mired in scandal, Mike will now have to double down on conspiracy theories toxic in the General Election. From the start, Trump’s obsession with Georgia elections revealed his fury that Black voters were instrumental to his defeat. I'm asking concerned citizens nationwide to join me and support our voter protection efforts in Georgia.
Imagine if Obama was directly connected to Epstein, made $2 billion off crypto scams, grifted a $400 million plane form Arab Royals, and started and lost a war with Iran.
When I look at the recent progressive victories in Colorado and elsewhere, and the successful organizing campaigns sprouting up across the country, I believe we may be on the brink of the political revolution we have been fighting for.
I'm not running for office. But if I were, these are some of the lessons I'd take away from what happened in NY yesterday.
1. Authenticity is measurable. Voters can smell a focus group from a mile away.
2. Endorsements from the current Democratic leadership now read like warnings. The establishment wing of the party is no longer a sword. It's a question mark.
3. Conviction beats caution. The candidates who said hard things about rent, about who pays for what, about Gaza, they won. The triangulators lost.
4. Cost of living is everything. Everything else is wallpaper.
5. The middle is not a strategy. It's an empty room. Voters reached past the establishment to grab someone who actually believes something.
6. Don't fear the base. Court it. The Democrats who ran from their own voters lost. The ones who ran toward them won.
7. If you want to lead a party you have to be willing to fight inside it. Mamdani didn't ask permission. He took the field.
The lesson under the lessons: the country is tired of being managed. People want to be led.
GREAT NEWS! The proposed ICE detention facility in Social Circle is officially off the table.
DHS is no longer pursuing the project after residents and local leaders said NO. A reminder that your voice DOES matter! Keep going!
Trump has a meltdown and ends the interview
Welker: Just to be very clear, there's no evidence of what you're saying.
Trump: There’s a lot of evidence. There’s tremendous evidence. There’s nothing but evidence. The election was rigged. And it’s happening again in California. They’re cheating.
Welker: Do you have evidence?
Trump: All I have to do is look.
Welker: That’s not evidence. The local officials acknowledge they are slow
Trump: They’re crooked. Just like you’re crooked. You’re either crooked or stupid.
