ANOTHER NPS REOPENING IN WASHINGTON DC: After months of being closed and under construction, the statue at the Philip Sheridan Memorial in Washington DC has officially reopened this afternoon 🏇
As part of President Trump’s ‘Make DC Safe and Beautiful’ Task Force, the @NatlParkService repainted the statue black (previously green) and has ensured that the water fountains are flowing once again. Previously, the fountains on both sides had been inoperable.
The equestrian statue of General Philip Sheridan sits at Sheridan Circle on Massachusetts Ave NW. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held by the National Park Service at 2:30pm today for the grand reopening.

Doug Burgum calmly dismantles every BS narrative around the Reflecting Pool in front of Congress.
“This thing is losing 40k gallons a day”
“People are mocking the color. You want a dark base—it enhances the reflectivity. This pool was originally black.”
"It's surprising to me the Reflecting Pool has come up so many different times," says @SecretaryBurgum in response to TDS-afflicted Democrats on Capitol Hill.
"40,000 estimated gallons a day are coming out of this thing... it needs to be fixed."
"The color, 'American Flag Blue,' is meant to enhance the reflectivity... You want to have a dark base. There was a time in history when this Reflecting Pool was actually asphalt black."
.@SecretaryBurgum: "We have eliminated burdensome, ideological, counterproductive regulations that undermined efficient land management, while maintaining appropriate protections of our wildlife and environment. Ongoing regulatory reform to cut red tape will continue to secure supply chains, unlock American energy, reduce prices, deliver better outcomes for the American people."
.@POTUS destroys ABC Fake News reporter: "It's such a stupid question that you ask. We're fixing up the Reflecting Pond to the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument, and you say, 'Why are you fixing it up?' Because you can understand dirt maybe better than I can—but I don't allow it."
