Had a meaningful interaction with citizens during today’s Masika Janasamparka / Sanchara Divasa, along with senior officers of Bengaluru City Police.

Concerns related to traffic congestion, parking, street lighting, CCTV coverage, public nuisance, drug peddling and cyber fraud were raised and noted for necessary follow-up.

Direct dialogue with citizens remains central to building a safer and more responsive Bengaluru.

Peaceful protest is a democratic right, and it must be exercised in accordance with the Hon’ble High Court’s directions.

The protesters who assembled near K.R. Circle without prior permission or intimation were requested to relocate to Freedom Park. Upon non-compliance, they were taken into preventive custody in accordance with law and subsequently released.

Bengaluru City Police acted with due restraint and sensitivity. I urge everyone to conduct peaceful protests only at Freedom Park, while respecting public convenience and order.

We remain committed to the safety and security of all citizens.
