Regards #Insulin supply in #Ukraine
We are working with industry colleagues, @DHSCgovuk as well as private organizations such as #TypeOneStyle to explore avenues of getting things across safely

Thank you #gbdoc for the love & generosity- as ever๐
@parthaskar That's heartbreaking. Not event being able to afford an health insurance guarantees bring able to be covered as people end up co-paying an astronomical amount of money or rationing their insulin or using an insulin not suitable for them.
Of note?
Mrs May has #T1Diabetes
Worth noting if you have #T1D a few simple facts
1. #COVID19 has worse outcomes
2. #Vaccines help protect
3. Masks in confined spaces helps protect too -and is recommended advice
The choice to do otherwise of course is yours
Thank you ๐
I see a few experts suggesting โonly 1% die with #COVID19โ
U.K. has about 66 million people.
1% equals 0.66 million
In #WW2 about 0.8 million people died in U.K.
Just for context how ridiculous the concept of โonly 1%โ is - especially when it doesnโt affect โyouโ
Stop it
Flu vaccine.
If you are being offered it- in the group who should have it, have it
I have as an HCP
And yes -if you have #Diabetes? You should
And then the #COVID#Vaccine when available.
Me and my family will too.
There's light at the end of the tunnel...lets get this done
In anticipation of the #FakeNews cycle ...as a #Vaccine possibility rises
Donโt listen to fake news.
Trust the science.
Take the vaccine when ready
(And for now, take the flu vaccine where advised)

@Docroddy Coming from a different healthcare system I can tell you that the DNA rate falls when the person is given the opportunity of proactively booking their consultation.
Hyperglycaemia does not impair the humoral response against SARS-CoV2, thus allowing for a cautious optimism on the efficacy of future vaccines against SARs-COV-2 in patients with diabetes. @PiemontiL @SanRaffaeleMI@MyUniSR#DRImilano https://t.co/8dwgdKqzfI - in press #toptweet
I tend to stay away from being angry on Twitter - or try to.
But this trust - if accurate - should be named and their Exec team should get in the bin.
The absolute bin ๐ก
#OnThisDay in 1921, Dr. Frederick G. Banting and his assistant Charles Best became the first researchers to isolate insulin and use it as a potential treatment for #diabetes. An amazing breakthrough in research, which led to the scientists winning a Nobel Prize! #t1d#GBDoc
