@SueJ1973 @InchOrInfinity @zoe_bearx Before the funded hours were introduced we were paying a grand a month for 3 days a week of nursery. When I told friends without kids they were horrified, but it’s the average near here.
I’d love another kid but in this economy?!

@ladela13 @Xhumanconscious @OswinOswald223 I obviously misread your comment. I thought you were saying DBS would only check current passport name which I knew to be incorrect. My fault for reading comments after being unable to sleep.

@ladela13 @Xhumanconscious @OswinOswald223 If your concern is about hiding their gender at birth I don’t think that’s related to DBS disclosure which lists criminal charges.

If gender at birth is important to the job role then it wouldn’t fall under the remit of DBS.

@ladela13 @Xhumanconscious @OswinOswald223 They inform DBS of previous names so criminal charges are still listed on the check, just not the prior name. This is also used by folks who have escaped domestic violence and changed their name for safety.

As trans or NB isn’t a criminal offence it won’t be on the DBS, no.

@ladela13 @Xhumanconscious @OswinOswald223 You legally have to declare all former names on a DBS check, e.g maiden name.

You have to provide your NI number which has a record of previous names attached to it.

If you don’t it flags in the system and the DBS is denied.

I complete loads of these at work. Pretty standard.

@cherryymya @Hokkybae @readingfromeden I get 25% royalty for an e book sale and 5% for physical. Pretty sure that’s standard for a lot of publishing houses as they don’t have to offset the cost of printing etc for e books.

@SirJBritain @MattCas04807118 @MOXYDON I’m pretty sure that’s Dr Amit, who is well known on the CBeebies show Dog Squad (my kids favourite) for talking about his guide dog and how she helps him. He was a trauma surgeon until he lost his sight. Now he’s an author. Hope that helped.

@hgbcjbx @UrbanPosting @sophieopossum Exactly. I have ‘minor hyper mobility’ and my hip or knee pops out sometimes and the pain is excruciating. I can’t begin to imagine how hard living with EDS is.
