@GLOATINGTRUTH @Tsward2Ward @chevrolet Only the newer Volts were formulated to have a range closer to that. Yes, I realize that range comparatively isn't impressive, but because of my commutes, I've gone months without ever having to use gas.

@Tsward2Ward @96whiskey @chevrolet I typically use it locally. The range of the Volt was based on 80% of commuting patterns. A few times a year, I take 300 mile road trips.

@Tsward2Ward @chevrolet I don't know the price, but I can tell you that I've had my Chevy Volt for 10 years, and I've never had to replace the battery. The range is just as good now as it was when I bought it new. So, you'd have a very slow reduction in range before you'd have to replace the battery.
