Several years ago, my wife left a $1000 tip on the CC for a specific waitress because she was pregnant. Afterward, we found out the tips are split among everyone in the house, including the house itself. It upset my wife, so we went back days later, and she discreetly handed the girl the tip in cash, and since then, we always quietly tip in cash only.
