I think it's probably a net good to have open primaries when you have a two-party system, but if we had multiple parties with proportional representation, the parties should have total control over who gets to pick their candidates.

i think at this point this was obviously why she outperformed the polls tracking specifically democratic voters in a state that has an open primary. republicans obviously would massively cross over to try to prevent someone they think is a "communist terrorist" from winning
