@ChowderGumball if the devs wanted cloti to be canon, their kiss would’ve been canon as well. they know that both pairings are loved and cherished by fans, so there’ll never be a canon ship

@ChowderGumball cloud and aerith had so many date sequences, were holding hands, expressed and showed how deeply they care for each other. just like tifa got some intimate moments with cloud! and these moments will continue in the third game, for both pairings.
