“Though Ashley Moody has been in the U.S. Senate for 18 months, she remains a bit of an enigma—rarely giving interviews, keeping a low profile, and her 🚩quiet fealty to Ron DeSantis helped earn her appointment to the Senate in 2025. DeSantis also credited Moody with helping defeat Amendment 3, the 2024 marijuana legalization measure.

That claim has drawn renewed attention because, as attorney general, 🚩Moody's office approved the diversion of $10 million from a Medicaid settlement to the Hope Florida Foundation without the safeguards typically required to ensure taxpayer money was properly spent.

The money ultimately funded the campaign against Amendment 3, which narrowly failed.
