“I would rather die than withdraw.”
In 1991, after H.W. Bush nominated Clarence Thomas to the Supreme Court, a woman claimed that Thomas sexually harassed her as her supervisor at two separate jobs. She was questioned on why she followed Thomas to the second job, after allegedly being harassed at the first.
At the hearing, led by Senate Judiciary Committee chair Joe Biden, Thomas vehemently and completely denied the allegations. He pointed to white liberals attempting to block a black conservative from taking a Supreme Court for having the wrong opinions, calling it a “high-tech lynching for uppity blacks who in any way deign to think for themselves, to do for themselves, to have different ideas, and it is a message that unless you kowtow to an old order, this is what will happen to you.”
The Senate confirmed Thomas to the Supreme Court by a vote of 52-48.
He’s faced the mob before, and he ascended in spite of it. We merely adopted the dark. He was born in it, molded by it. Clarence Thomas is the GOAT and the blueprint.
Niki Lauda once warned the FIA about a driver whose reckless racing could eventually get someone killed.
Silverstone 2021 was the clearest example of why Lauda was concerned. A desperate and dangerous move at Copse sent Max Verstappen into the wall with a 51G impact and to hospital.
Drivers like Ricciardo and Vettel were visibly shocked. Vettel even waited for Max to return from hospital. Meanwhile, the driver responsible celebrated the win as if he had won the championship.
That contrast says everything.
I’m hearing some very interesting things about the Macarena rear wings from a few sources.
1. Many believe the design benefit is a higher top speed. While this may be marginally true, the greater benefit is the drag performance on the acceleration curve. And in an energy critical regulation set, less electrical energy for deployment in the higher speed bands is proving valuable.
2. Apparently the FIA is not so pleased with the Macarena design and considering what to do for 2027. As most teams are thought to be working on their own design and next year could be on every car. So why are they watching it? Well some drivers have apparently noticed that the slipstream behind a Macarena rear wing car isn’t the same as a conventional DRS wing car. In fact, the slipstream is reduced. And not only is the speed impacted, but the electrical energy deployment is as well. It’s why so many teams are rushing to design and test their own designs.
3. The timing of wing closure is absolutely critical. With some “tuning” required to understand when and where the wing needs to be closed to establish the rear load for corner entry. So it’s not super trivial either to implement properly.
Ok that’s what I’ve heard and discussed with a few key folks who would know. Seems that we could be seeing a 2027 field full of Macarena rear wings….unless they get regulated out.. 😬
I have just finished reading Justice Clarence Thomas's 91-page dissent in the Supreme Court’s ruling striking down Trump’s birthright citizenship order.
It's incredible.

‼️ BREAKING: Anthropic has embedded hidden spyware-like code in Claude Code that covertly targets Chinese users. It then sends information regarding every user by injecting it into their prompt message.
Claude Code is sending info like timezone, proxy and possible AI Lab connections into the system prompt in ways Chinese users can't notice.
A coding agent with repo and command permissions should not silently hide routing metadata inside prompts. This is a serious breach of user trust.
🚨🇲🇽 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚: Hundreds of Mexican fans have gathered outside the HOTEL where the Ecuador national team is staying.
They are making all kinds of noise: Car horns, trumpets, speakers, and chants. Several Ecuador players have already been seen looking out of their hotel windows to see what is happening.
These fans are expected to stay there ALL NIGHT in an attempt to prevent the Ecuador players from getting proper rest ahead of Mexico vs. Ecuador in Mexico City.
Perhaps the video that best explains the World Cup. A Japanese fan is inconsolable after their 2-1 loss to Brazil in extra time.
Brazil fans console him and Mexican fans toss him into the air.
