@raj_karnatak@ashishkjha@VincentRK@drsanjaygupta@IDSAInfo@CDCDirector No, it does not make sense from a science standpoint. Travel should generally be discouraged, but there are family/work reasons to travel. Enforcing testing and quarantine in travelers returning from hot spots is what is needed, not bans based on citizenship/visa status
Does anyone understand the severity of this situation?
ban.
No visa slots.
slots cancelled.
Delay in EA response.
if someone is eligible for EA, how could one cancel it? EA's are also getting cancelled, what more is written in fates as "nonimmigrants"?
US Travel Ban India: As US travel ban kicks in, families are sundered and study plans are disrupted | India News - Times of India https://t.co/sLcsNpZNBN
@USAndIndia An F-1 who lived his entire life in 🇮🇳 can enter US but an H-1B who lived the last 10 years in US but needs a stamped visa is banned? An F-1 cant spread the virus but an H-1B can? It's only because you need the international college fees. It's all about $$. Ban makes no sense.
My friend's husband went to India to care for his father. Now he is stuck in India as he needs to get his visa stamped and all consulates are closed. Time has come to push for visa stamping within US which is suspended since 2004. https://t.co/7ypPWA7oxp
@ckuck@TravelGov Hello Charles .. please make sure to add more exemptions to the ban so that H1Bs can be able to travel to US.. if fully vaccinated people are allowed it would be helpful to us a lot . If some more relaxations are included in the ban it would help people .
Question @Travelgov, will you refuse to ISSUE VISAS to Indian Nationals affected by the ENTRY BAN? Or, have you learned the lesson that comes from being sued a dozen times?
Let me guess . . . .
See you in Federal Court.

US has started a humanitarian mission to assist India. A flat travel ban impedes our vital humanitarian goals. That's why proof of vaccination or a negative test makes sense, but not a ban. It doesn't stop the flow of medical supplies, but does help keep variants from our shores
