Bilmeyen varsa hemen baksın, fazladan masraf etmeyin.

Masamda uğultuyla çalışan, üzerindeki o eski AMD işlemcinin yükünü her satır kodda hissettiğim o emektar bilgisayara bakıyorum.

If someone asked me what the hardest part of building a game alone is, I'd say this: seeing the gap between "good enough" and "feels right", and deciding to close it.
This week I rebuilt one of the most important places in my game's world from scratch. The old one worked, but up close it didn't feel right. Where the light falls, how a building sits on the ground, a line of text that's hard to read... Small things on their own. Together, they decide whether a game feels crafted or rushed.
Being an independent developer means wearing every hat at once: designer, art director, programmer, tester. Progress is sometimes slow, but every step is mine.
I'm still working toward a calm, unhurried, ad-free experience. Coming soon to iPhone.
Have you ever rebuilt something in your own work because "good enough" wasn't enough? I'd love to hear about it in the comments.

Sharing the first teaser of the game I've been working on for months. 🎬✨
A tiny world that fits in the palm of your hand. A handful of people. And you.
You help them grow, listen to their prayers, and watch their world take shape in your hands.
I'm aiming for a calm, unhurried, ad-free experience — and this short teaser is the first glimpse of that feeling. The name and first gameplay look are coming soon.
As an independent developer, sharing this journey with you means a lot. Turn the sound on, give it 20 seconds, and let me know what you think.
Coming soon to iPhone.

Sharing the first glimpse of something I've been working on for a long time.
A calm, enchanting game where you become the god of a tiny world that fits in the palm of your hand. You start with a handful of people — you help them grow, listen to their prayers, and watch their world take shape in your hands.
No rush, no pressure, no ads. Just you, your people and a growing world.
As an independent developer, I'm excited about every step of this journey. The name and first look are coming soon. Coming soon to iPhone.
Follow along — I'd love to hear your thoughts.

The gaming industry has normalized one of the most exhausting trends in modern entertainment: the "Live Service" model. Games are no longer designed to be finished. Instead, they are built to keep players trapped in an endless cycle of daily logins, seasonal updates, and battle passes.
Fun has been replaced by FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out). Players log in not because they want to experience something new, but because they are afraid of missing a daily reward. This is not game design; it is creating a digital second job.
At himmetaga, we believe in the forgotten value of a "finished" game. We craft experiences with a beginning, a middle, and a satisfying end. When you complete one of our games, you aren't hit with a new paywall or an endless grinding loop. You simply put the device down with a genuine sense of completion.
Gaming should be an escape, not an obligation. Isn't it time we appreciate premium, complete games that actually respect our time and mental space?

Please take a close look at this screenshot. This is exactly what a three-trillion-dollar company presents to you right after taking $99 from your bank account.
"Your enrollment in the Apple Developer Program could not be completed at this time."
There is no error code, no explanation, no next steps, and absolutely no human support to contact. Just a dark screen and a deducted bank balance.
We are independent developers. We pour our time, passion, and limited budgets into creating the very apps and games that make the App Store so valuable. In return, this is how Apple treats us. They demand absolute perfection in our code and a massive cut of our revenue, yet their own infrastructure is so broken it cannot even process a basic registration without ghosting us.
This is not just a software bug; it is the ultimate symptom of an unchecked monopoly. When developers have no alternative platforms to turn to, the platform owner stops caring about support. I am completely locked out of a service I just paid for, and Apple Support is ignoring every single email.
If you believe developers should be treated as ecosystem partners rather than disposable income sources, please share or engage with this post to help make this visible. We cannot let this level of corporate arrogance become the industry standard.
#SoftwareEngineering #Monopoly
We spend months perfecting our code, refining our mechanics, and ensuring our games meet Apple’s notoriously strict App Store guidelines. We do this because we respect the user experience.
So why does Apple refuse to respect the developer experience?
Right now, the hardest technical challenge in iOS development isn’t Swift, Xcode, or memory management. It is trying to get Apple’s broken enrollment system to acknowledge the $99 they already deducted from your bank account.
If an indie developer’s app took a user's money and then locked them out of the premium features with an endless, unresolvable error loop, Apple would reject and ban that app within 24 hours. But when Apple’s own portal does the exact same thing to developers, we are expected to stay quiet and wait weeks for an automated bot to send a meaningless reply.
This is a massive double standard. Apple demands absolute perfection and compliance from the creators who build their ecosystem, yet they cannot even maintain a functional, human-led support desk for the people paying to be there.
This bureaucratic wall is actively killing indie motivation before our projects even see the light of day. It is a completely one-sided relationship where we are treated merely as commission sources rather than partners.
If you are tired of this broken developer support pipeline and the sheer hypocrisy of these tech giants, let's make this visible. They need to be held to the same standard they force upon us.

The term "Free-to-Play" has become the most expensive illusion in modern mobile gaming.
When a game is offered for free, the true cost is hidden. You pay with your attention, your privacy, and your patience as you hit artificial roadblocks specifically designed to frustrate you into buying microtransactions. It shifts the entire purpose of game design from creating a memorable experience to building a psychological trap.
At himmetaga, we believe in the transparent transaction. You pay a fair, one-time upfront price, and in return, you get a complete, uninterrupted piece of interactive art. No hidden fees, no energy mechanics telling you to "wait 4 hours," and no psychological manipulation.
Is it time we finally rethink what "free" really costs us in the digital space?

Taking developers' money and locking them out of their accounts is bad enough. But Apple’s so-called "Developer Support" system is an absolute black hole.
When you encounter a critical bug in their enrollment process—like paying $99 and immediately being locked out with a vague error—you naturally reach out to their support email. And then... nothing. You are thrown into a ridiculous, automated void where nobody actually cares about your problem.
For a multi-trillion-dollar company, their support infrastructure is practically non-existent. Waiting for a real human response or an actual solution feels like waiting for a miracle. They demand high revenue cuts and strict compliance from indie developers, yet they can't even provide basic, functional communication when their own system breaks down.
Has anyone actually managed to get a real human response from Apple Developer Support recently, or are we all just shouting into the void?
#AppleDeveloper #iOSDev #AppStore #IndieDev #SoftwareEngineering #TechSupport
Apple’s developer onboarding is an absolute disgrace. There is no other way to frame it. For a trillion-dollar company that prides itself on "flawless user experience," the Apple Developer Program enrollment is a broken, bureaucratic nightmare that borders on scamming indie developers.
Here is the reality of their "seamless" ecosystem:
You provide your ID. They verify it. You pay the $99 fee. They take your money immediately. The subscription shows up as active on your Apple Account.
But the second you try to log in? The system breaks. It demands your ID again. You upload it, only to be hit with a vague, dead-end error: "Your enrollment could not be completed at this time."
No explanation. No next steps. Just a brick wall.
If any indie developer built an app that took users' money and then locked them out with a generic error message, Apple’s review team would ban that app immediately for fraud. Yet, when Apple does it to the very creators who build their ecosystem, it is somehow acceptable.
Taking a developer's money while denying them access to the platform they just paid for is not a security measure—it is sheer incompetence. It is completely unacceptable for a company of this scale to have such a fundamentally broken backend.
Has anyone else had their money taken by Apple only to be locked out by this ridiculous bug?
