In a major twist in the Sabarimala gold theft case, the Kerala High Court has acted on the SIT report, which alleges a conspiracy dating back to 2019.

Investigators claim the original gold cladding was falsely shown as copper plates before being taken to Chennai, where the gold was allegedly removed.

The SIT says the 2025 attempt to move the idols was part of the same cover-up and has found evidence against seven individuals.
