The Summer Internship Programme (SIP) 2026, a flagship initiative of MUHS, concluded successfully at AFMC Pune, marking two weeks of immersive learning, innovation and clinical exposure. Twenty medical students from across Maharashtra engaged in hands-on training across diverse domains including Clinical Prediction Modelling, AI in Pathology, Medical Genetics, Leprosy, Pharmacology, Medication Safety, Newborn Screening, Blood-borne Infections, Obesity Management and Electrophoresis. Through patient interactions, research activities and mentorship by experts, they gained valuable insights into the future of healthcare. Beyond academics, the students experienced the unique ethos of AFMC—where excellence in medicine is shaped by military discipline, leadership, integrity and service to the nation.

My new chapter on leadership in The Palgrave Encyclopedia of Leadership and Organizational Change. This entry focuses on the aspect of hybrid leadership styles of leaders at workplace due to variable state of mind influenced by Sattva, Rajas, and Tamas Guna. The term “Guna” indicates the “inherent energy” with which the human mind functions. These three energies are: spiritual energy (Sattva), emotional energy (Rajas), and resistance to change (Tamas). Sattva enhances the spiritual quality; Rajas provides energy for action; and Tamas provides energy that resists changes. This entry provides a framework of “Hybrid Leadership” based on the Guna theory integrating various perspectives on leadership styles to uncover the mysteries associated with leadership. This entry develops a three-energy framework based on the “Guna” concept of Indian Knowledge System to understand hybrid leadership styles in organizations.

इन संघियों ने अखड़ा परिषद का अध्यक्ष भी एक संघी को बना रखा है। बस इन्हें चारों शंकराचार्य की पीठ को आखिरी धक्का लगाना है, जिसके लिए वो सालों से जुटे हुए हैं, लेकिन अभी तक सफल नहीं हो सके हैं!
