My new chapter: Hybrid Leadership Styles at Workplace: The Influence of Sattva, Rajas, and Tamas Guna

My new chapter on leadership in The Palgrave Encyclopedia of Leadership and Organizational Change. This entry focuses on the aspect of hybrid leadership styles of leaders at workplace due to variable state of mind influenced by Sattva, Rajas, and Tamas Guna. The term “Guna” indicates the “inherent energy” with which the human mind functions. These three energies are: spiritual energy (Sattva), emotional energy (Rajas), and resistance to change (Tamas). Sattva enhances the spiritual quality; Rajas provides energy for action; and Tamas provides energy that resists changes. This entry provides a framework of “Hybrid Leadership” based on the Guna theory integrating various perspectives on leadership styles to uncover the mysteries associated with leadership. This entry develops a three-energy framework based on the “Guna” concept of Indian Knowledge System to understand hybrid leadership styles in organizations.

🚨 URGENT PLEA: Vijay Vishal CHS, Oshiwara, Mumbai, is under siege! On Oct 10, over 1,000+ outsiders stormed our society for an illegal gathering—no permission, just chaos! Bikes and cars clog our lanes, while eve-teasing, thefts, harassment, and encroachments by goons leave our women and senior citizens trembling in fear. Our peace is shattered, our safety stolen!
We’ve screamed for help with numerous complaints since 2015, including a chilling mob attack on May 16, 2025 (video on X), and 3 NCs, yet the terror continues. A beacon of hope—Sr. Inspector Sanjay Chavan—heard our cries, reviewed our evidence, and took action. He brought society and slum members together, firmly stating our private land isn’t for public misuse and pushing for DP Road activation. To protect us, he deployed 2-3 police patrols for 10-12 days, earning heartfelt gratitude from our elderly for this brief relief.
But this isn’t enough! The threats loom large, and our voices are hoarse from begging. @MumbaiPolice@CPMumbaiPolice @Dev15Fadnavis, build on Vijay Vishal Society efforts! We demand constant patrols, swift justice, and urgent BMC action to fix and build DP Road to stop this nightmare once and for all!

Our endless ordeal:
May 16, 2025: Mob attacked residents!
Jan 8, 2025: Theft in our compound.
Since 2015: Encroachments, vandalism, and threats, defying High Court orders.
Our hearts break pleading for safety! @MumbaiPolice, @mybmc don’t let us down. Act NOW to restore our peace! #BMC_KWest

“Modi: The Master Problem Solver” Launched at Kitab Khana, Mumbai
September 17, 2025 | Mumbai — The much-anticipated book “Modi: The Master Problem Solver” was launched yesterday at the iconic Kitab Khana, Fort, Mumbai. The event drew a distinguished gathering of readers, political thinkers, and book lovers.
The launch was graced by Mr. Ameet Satam, MLA and Mumbai BJP President, who attended as the Chief Guest. The authors, Greenstone Lobo and Dr. Satish Modh, engaged in an insightful conversation with popular RJ Salil Acharya, discussing the book’s central themes and the unique lens it brings to understanding India’s leadership journey.
“Modi: The Master Problem Solver” explores a provocative question: What if the future of India—and your own prosperity—was already written in the stars? The book reveals how Prime Minister Narendra Modi has tackled India’s toughest challenges not just through political acumen and willpower, but also through a rare cosmic alignment that shapes his leadership trajectory.
Blending scientific astrology, leadership theory, biography, and financial foresight, the book offers readers a roadmap to navigate the tectonic shifts expected between 2025 and 2030. It uncovers the hidden forces behind Modi’s past decisions, the challenges that lie ahead, and the celestial signals pointing to India’s continued rise on the global stage.
Speaking at the event, the authors emphasized how this book is more than a political or astrological commentary—it is a guide for individuals seeking clarity in chaos, opportunity in upheaval, and direction in a distracted world.
“This is not just a book about Modi,” said co-author Greenstone Lobo. “It’s about how each of us can align with the larger forces shaping India’s future.”
Co-author Dr. Satish Modh added, “By integrating astrology with leadership lessons, we hope to provide readers with a practical framework to prepare for the transformations ahead.”
With its unique blend of cosmic insight and grounded analysis, “Modi: The Master Problem Solver” promises to change the way readers perceive time, leadership, and destiny.
The book is now available across leading bookstores and online platforms.
The Bhagavad Gita is one of the most profound spiritual texts in the world. In this simplified English translation, its wisdom becomes accessible to everyone. Through the dialogue between Krishna and Arjuna, the Gita reveals timeless teachings on duty, devotion, and the path to inner peace. I present here a straightforward English translation of the Gita. You may not need a commentary to understand the Gita with this simple translation.
Example 1: Gita 2.14
Translation by Swami Muktananda: ‘O son of Kunti, the contact between the senses and the sense objects gives rise to fleeting perceptions of happiness and distress. These are non-permanent and come and go like the winter and summer seasons. O descendent of Bharat, one must learn to tolerate them without being disturbed.’
Translation by Swami Gambirananda: ‘But the contacts of the organs with the objects are the producers of cold and heat, happiness and sorrow. They have a beginning and an end, (and) are transient. Bear them, O descendant of Bharata.’
Translation by Swami Ramsukhdas: O son of Kunti, bodily sense objects, which give rise to feelings of heat and cold, pleasure and pain etc., are transitory and fleeting, therefore, Arjuna bear them patiently, viz, remain unaffected by them or ignore them.’
Translation by Swami Sivananda: ‘The contacts of the senses with the objects, O son of Kunti, which cause heat and cold, pleasure and pain, have a beginning and an end; they are impermanent; endure them bravely, O Arjuna.’
Translation by Srila Prabhupada: ‘O son of Kunti, the
nonpermanent appearance of happiness and distress, and their disappearance in due course, are like the appearance and disappearance of winter and summer seasons. They arise from sense perception, O scion of Bharata, and one must learn to tolerate them without being disturbed.’
Simple Translation: ‘O Kaunteya (Arjuna), when the senses come in contact with things, they create feelings like heat and cold, pleasure and pain. O Bharata, these feelings are temporary
and have a clear beginning and end. Face them bravely.’
