There is no physiological or biological test for a mental disorder. None. No psychiatric diagnosis is scientifically validated. They’re all just arbitrarily created and categorized based on consensus of interested parties (stakeholders). That means every single patient is at the disposal of a doctor who profits from writing prescriptions. Do you really think this system was built to heal people? Or is it obvious there’s a conflict of interest when a doctor can declare you “ill” without a single clear test, and then cash in through kickbacks and endless prescriptions? This is the state of psychiatry today and one of the very reasons I walked away from it.
My problem w/ the psychiatric diagnosis of ADHD is that it has devolved into pseudoscientific nonsense to push stimulant drugs. It actually prevents the investigation into legitimate problems that need to be addressed.
We are now masking these legitimate root causes w/ stimulant drugs that will cause long term health & mental health problems.
- nutrient deficiencies
- phone addiction
- obesity
- sedentary lifestyles
- lack of adequate sun/ blue light exposure
- vaccine injuries
- environmental toxin exposures
- worriers/anxiety
- children raised in violent & chaotic households
- behavioral problems
- PTSD
- Sleep problems
- lack of discipline/low distress tolerance
- Other medical conditions
- Drug side effects
Post-SSRI sexual dysfunction (PSSD) is a real condition where people experience genital numbness for years....sometimes permanently....after coming off antidepressants too quickly.
Your psychiatrist probably didn't tell you this was possible before prescribing.
The withdrawal effects from psychiatric medications can be debilitating & prolonged & in some cases permanent. This is not fringe information. It's documented. It's just not discussed in the standard appointment where you're handed a prescription in 12 minutes.
Be an informed patient. Ask the hard questions before you start.
One of the reasons why I speak out about the abuse of psychiatry is because they can deny you the right to live. If you are seriously harmed by their drugs and develop severe and chronic akathisia which is often not compatible with life, they play pretend like it doesn’t exist.
For decades, those of us speaking about the harms caused by taking and coming off psychiatric drugs have been ignored, denied or dismissed.
I’ve been labeled everything from “antipsychiatry,” “anti-science,” and “Scientologist,” to “right-wing fascist” and “anti-vax,” to simply “too mentally ill” to understand what was happening to me.
Now the APA’s own annual meeting is full of panels on deprescribing, overmedication, withdrawal, and psychiatrists openly admitting they regret not helping patients come off these drugs sooner.
The hundreds of thousands of personal stories of psychiatric iatrogenesis have become impossible to keep waving away as meaningless anecdotes.
I have deep compassion for how hard it must be to face the possibility that you’ve been inadvertently causing harm to patients you’ve been trying to help.
But fear is the master distorter of truth, and the only way out is through.
We are eager to build a big-tent coalition to begin work on these changes we all know are necessary. I hope you’ll join us.
What would psychiatrists do if they couldn't coercively prescribe psychiatric drugs and couldn't coercively use electroshock on patients?
They would probably engage in "research" to discover what would essentially be a new method of disabling patients. It would be referred to as "treatment", albeit erroneously.
Put bluntly, psychiatry is about disablement where the effects of psychiatric interventions are hailed as "demonstrably effective" when, all that's actually happened, is a patient has been assaulted, iatrogenically damaged and rendered inoperable.

@Andrinanosleep If it’s physical pain, DM me for a link to buy prescription only painkillers. I am not sure if it’s a scam though and the medication is genuine.
Labour Govt thinks too many people with mental health problems claim benefits so their solution is cut their benefits yet:
They 3 x more likely to be in debt
Those under CMHTs frequently UNDER claim
Court of Appeal ruled: benefits system SPECIFICALLY disadvantages MH sufferers
So true. I was put on the mental illness train at age 5, when I was Dxd with an ‘anxious tummy’ and prescribed Valium syrup.
Every thing thereafter was considered from a mental health viewpoint.
I actually had ulcerative colitis which nearly killed me at age 25, having gone untreated for 20 years.
I have been prescribed benzodiazepines ever since, plus antidepressants since age 12, both without a break.
I am now suffering multiple side effects, including Parkinson’s disease and having been on these medications for around 60 years, (plus a multitude of other psychiatric #neurotoxins added over the years), to try tapering off would probably kill me.

@_innercompass Nobody told me they could change my personality, they could make me suicidal when going on and going off, and getting off of them could be extremely difficult and be misinterpreted as underlying mental illness. And I could wind up, stuck as a mental health patient for decades.
@_innercompass That a med approved by drug regulators would leave me unable to have an emotional & sexual life. That the person I once was, with a certain personality, life goals, and aspirations, would become a different person, and the emotional toll and grief I would have to endure for 11 ys
