@AdamPollock I have a very adventurous eater. I’m talking, ordering goat meat and eating fish eyeballs just because he wants to. But he still likes nuggets and won’t eat raw peppers-he is a kid after all. (unless it’s a chili, then he’ll eat it).
@thedarkhorsepod@BretWeinstein I live in Europe and my husband is gluten intolerant: along with several others I know. Many people eat spelt products instead of wheat and that seems to be better for them. Maybe it’s not as bad, but it is still an issue here.
@LostMyHats In Austria, most evang. churches are very small and bright; you can hear everyone sing and it’s not unusual to sing in rounds. When I go home to the US, I miss the singing most-even the bad singing-because it’s wonderful to hear others worship & notice when someone is missing
@Pastor_Gabe I worked at a youth camp in Malaysia one time. At a lunch table, one girl asked the others, “When I speak in tongues, I speak Mandarin. What language do you guys speak?” And the others that had had that experience, could name actually the language they spoke-mandarin, Tamil, etc
@drantbradley This is an issue where I live, in Austria. I know an elderly couple that would lose €1,000 per month if they were to be legally married. Does the church accept only the „church“ wedding for them to be married or does it have to be recognized by the state?
@JennMGreenberg We had St Nicholas day yesterday and my 6yo son asked, “So St Nicholas was a real person?” “Yes.” “So that means he died right?” “…yes, the actual man named Nicholas died.” “So who brought me my stocking today?!? Wait! Don’t tell me. I don’t want to know it was you guys.”
@AThinksAloud@ConceptualJames I am getting a weird feeling too. I don’t trust Elon (transhumanism is just one of my reasons).…it feels risky to write it out on X, but it needs to be said. 👀
@drantbradley I think it explains a lot, but I’ve also heard recently that micro-plastics, chemicals and toxins in food and the environment could also be playing a role, and it makes me curious. I wish there would be more research in this aspect too.
@conservmillen And we don’t hear of Biden’s temper: a friend of my sister-in-law’s worked at a concentration camp memorial in Germany. Biden visited and demanded she show him the gas chambers but this camp didn’t use them! She tried to explain this to him, but he went into a manic rage at her.
@PanBart@bensmithlive Came looking for this comment. Carrageenan is in most heavy creams where I live. I have to go out of my way to find cream without.
@tracybeanz In Austria, kids do not start learning to read and write until 6 going on 7. Preschool is for learning in play, not studies. I don’t think Austrians are any less intelligent than anyone else because of this.
@KSPrior The mission I work for requires us to do Ministry Safe trainings. They aren’t difficult to do and every couple of years it is so helpful to be reminded of what to look out for since background checks are really the bare minimum.
@drantbradley I think it is a combination of social factors like these and infertility. We need to look at food, pharmaceuticals and other factors as well.
