📣 Today, I’m excited to walk you through Unity’s NEW AI offering, Meta MCP Extensions, and agentic tools to demonstrate how we can 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗔 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗩𝗥/𝗩𝗥 𝗚𝗮𝗲 from start to finish using these AI tools in a practical way.
🎥 Full video available at: https://t.co/4p5ZzdaRfg
📌 Here’s what I’m covering today:
- Unity VR project setup (with OpenXR plugins)
- Installing the Unity AI Assistant and demos
- Configuring Unity MCP + Meta MCP Extensions
- Configuring Claude Code & MCPs
- Building a VR/MR Basketball Game with the Unity AI Assistant, Claude Agent, and external Claude Code CLI
- A lot of iteration with Claude Code + the Meta XR Simulator
💡Also, it’s been a while since I've posted a new video, and I’m genuinely excited to be back, especially with a topic like this that I know many devs have been waiting for.
It’s a pity that the game developers didn’t understand that the main thing that attracted people to this game was precisely the strong family bonds of a traditional family.
Being a father playing these game you will understand joel 100%
Build your first robot in simulation! 👾
📌 If you’re self-learning robotics, this is genuinely one of the better repos to save for later.
@NVIDIARobotics released a "Getting Started with Isaac Sim" tutorial series covering everything from building your first robot to hardware-in-the-loop deployment.
What's inside?
→ Building Your First Robot Explore the Isaac Sim interface, construct a simple robot model, configure physics properties, implement control mechanisms using OmniGraph and ROS 2, integrate sensors, and stream sensor data to ROS 2 for real-time visualization in RViz.
→ Ingesting Robot Assets Import URDF files, prepare simulation environments, add sensors to existing robot models, and access pre-built robots to accelerate development.
→ Synthetic Data Generation Learn perception models for dynamic robotic tasks, understand synthetic data generation, apply domain randomization with Replicator, generate synthetic datasets, and fine-tune AI perception models with validation.
→ Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) Build intelligent robots, implement SIL workflows, use OmniGraph for robot control, master Isaac Sim Python scripting, deploy image segmentation with ROS 2 and Isaac ROS, and test with and without simulation.
→ Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Understand HIL fundamentals, learn NVIDIA Jetson platform, set up the Jetson environment, and deploy Isaac ROS on Jetson hardware.
Start with basics (build a robot), add perception (sensors and data), generate training data (synthetic generation), develop software (SIL), then deploy to hardware (HIL). Each module builds on the previous one.
For robotics teams, this is the path to faster iteration. Simulate first, validate in software-in-the-loop, generate synthetic training data at scale, then deploy to hardware with confidence. 🎓
If this helps at least one engineer to become more fluent in the world of robotics, means a lot to me! 🫶🏼

@TheSubliminalG Episode 1 is finally out. Some early prototype animations I did a couple years back in between jobs. Great to see some animations made it into game. Stoked to work on my first ever horror game.

This tool is so useful... when animating I love seeing more of the characters mesh instead of the cluster of controls. You can hover over a body part and it will highlight the nearest control. Check comment below for link.
Hooking up the joint based volume preservation on the key bend areas of the Kaiju. Hours of work to deform slightly better, fun times. I do think it helps sell scale and realism though.
Back to anim tomorrow now that the body is holding up a bit better.

On Reanimal, I worked a lot on the “Spider kids”, children that don’t just chase you… they climb walls to hunt you down avoiding sunlight.
Creepy kids... 😅

Tested this concepting workflow.
▶️ Converting a level design image to a 3D asset gallery image
▶️ re-generating segmented subjects into separate high quality images.
▶️ using these images to generate the 3D meshes.
First time using 'for loops' in ComfyUI, works great and the prompts are updated for every segment. I used the Nano Banana 2 API node in ComfyUI to generate the final high quality images. Those SAM3 nodes are crazy btw, just set some points and it creates a mask!
For the 3D model generation I used the new Tripo Smart Mesh tool, which is fast! The output is not perfect yet. I think in a lot of cases not production ready right now but that depends on the input image and the goal as well. For pre-production / concepting phase it's perfect and for far distance meshes it’s fine. I’m sure these tools keep improving, curious what we can work with in 3-6 months.
Minimal cleanup and scaling in Blender and tested the meshes in UEFN / Unreal Engine.
After creating the ComfyUI workflow it took less than an hour to do everything.
