@BillAckman@shaunmmaguire Stop crying and stop the scare tactics. Over the prior 19 years NYC rent increases for two year leases averaged more than 3.5%. With this year, the average is still more than 3.3% over 20 years. The 4 increases from 2007-2010 for 2 year leases were 7.25%, 5.75%, 8.5%, and 6%.
@AriFleischer Sure. Blame the mayor who has held office for less than six months for New York's decaying infrastructure and declining civility. Let's build more mega office towers while we put bandaids on the subway system. By the way @AriFleischer, Denmark and Finland are socialist countries.
@wyshynski@jonassiegel Greg, you are dead wrong about Sundin. Mats Sundib will be a terrific leader for the Maple Leafs. As he was on the ice, he will be off the ice. Additionally, Chayka knows his numbers. They will be a great team.
@jimcramer Your praise of Kissinger this morning was as stupid as it was offensive, and it was very offensive. Now you're trying to mealy-mouth your way out of it as per usual. I know you're not getting paid to keep your mouth shut, but maybe you should just stick to pumping.
@NBCOlympics@peacock Going cheap on Canada-France hockey today. One British announcer, who is doing a credible job btw, without a color analyst. No between period show or interviews just nat sound with the international feed from the rink. Actually is a nice break from formulaic, predictable coverage.
Debate topic:
If the playoffs were to start today, the 2nd & 3rd best teams in the NHL would play in the first round.
By the end of the second round two of the top three teams in the entire NHL will be eliminated from the playoffs!
Dallas and/or Minnesota are better off dropping down to the first wild card spot than finishing higher in the standings.
How is this good for the league? It punishes excellence, kills potential blockbuster matchups in later rounds, and undermines the entire 82-game (soon 84-game) regular season grind. Teams battle all year to earn the highest possible seed and the advantages that come with it, only for the format to throw that merit out the window.
Division rivalries, less travel, it changes every year. Yes, those factors exist. But they don’t justify a system where the best teams knock each other out early while lesser seeds move on.
The fair, logical fix: Go back to true conference seeding 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6, 4 vs 5. Reward the regular season. Protect the top teams. Deliver better, more meaningful hockey throughout the playoffs.
It’s mind blowing to me that more GM’s aren’t more vocal for this change.
Thoughts???
I’ll hang up and listen ✌️
@accnetwork ACC Network? Your coverage of NC vs. NCSU is terrible. No replay of pass interference on first drive? Main camera view from the last row of the stadium? @UNCFootball#tarheels Sorry guys. You can't tackle and you completely lack discipline. Where's the coaching? An embarrassment to a great university.
@accnetwork@espn Please make Steve Addazio stop trying to be a John Madden copycat. He's relatively okay when he sticks to analysis but just sounds forced and ridiculous when he gets into "northeast dude" mode.
@Ddro287@espn@UNCFootball@CuseFootball Right. Not fantastic by regular QB standards but great for a true freshman at Syracuse on a lacrosse scholarship who has leapfrogged from scout team to big squad real game action without making a serious mistake. I'd call that fantastic.
@espn@UNCFootball@CuseFootball Someone needs to tell @espn announce team that even though Filardi hasn't completed a pass, he's doing a fantastic job. Playing totally unafraid. He will get better as game continues.
A progressive Tennessee man has been in jail for a month because he posted a meme on Facebook quoting Donald Trump after a mass shooting in Iowa: “We have to get over it.” A district attorney signed off on arresting the man for “threatening a school shooting.”
