After his Friday Sermon today, His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad led the funeral prayer of 19-year-old Mr. Muhammad Asif, who was martyred last week in Kasur, Pakistan.

He was on his way to buy groceries with a companion when attackers shot at them. Mr. Asif died from excessive blood loss just as he reached the hospital, while his companion survived.

The martyr was extremely obedient and caring to his parents and relatives. He was very loving and affectionate, and the only son of his parents. He was regular in his prayers and active in the community.

There is a total boycott against Ahmadis in the village, and an extreme atmosphere of animosity. Many Ahmadis are targeted and their gravestones are even vandalised. Ahmadi children on their way to and from school are harassed.

His Holiness said extremists and opponents of the community in Pakistan continue to become more emboldened. He prayed that God hold them to account soon.

جاوید جبار نے سرزمینِ بھارت پر کھڑے ہو کر ثابت کیا کہ 1947ء سے پہلے تاریخ میں موجودہ سرحدوں پر مشتمل ہندوستان نامی کوئی ملک موجود نہیں تھا۔ جاوید جبار نے مغربی مؤرخین کے ریفرنس سے یہ بھی ثابت کیا کہ مذہب بھی قومیت کی بنیاد ہو سکتا ہے۔ جاوید جبار نے سچ کہا کہ 1947ء میں ہندوستان تقسیم نہیں ہوا تھا، دو ملک آزاد ہوئے تھے۔

مشرقی پاکستان کے بنگالیوں نے 1970ء میں علیحدگی کے بعد مشترکہ زبان کی بنیاد پر مغربی بنگال میں ضم نہ ہو کر اندرا گاندھی کے اس دعویٰ کو غلط، جھوٹا اور باطل ثابت کر دیا کہ بھارت نے دو قومی نظریہ کو خلیج بنگال میں غرق کر دیا ہے۔

اندرا گاندھی کے دعویٰ کے برعکس مشرقی پاکستان نے آزاد خودمختار ملک بنگلہ دیش کے قیام کا اعلان کر کے دو قومی نظریہ کی حقانیت کو ایک بار پھر ثابت کیا۔ بھارتی ایجنٹ شیخ مجیب الرحمن کو بھی یہ جرات نہیں ہوئی تھی کہ سقوط ڈھاکہ کے بعد مشترکہ بنگالی زبان کی بنیاد پر پاکستانی بنگال کو ہندوستانی بنگال میں ضم کرنے کا اعلان کر سکے۔ اگر وہ ایسی حرکت کرتا تو بعد ازاں خاندان سمیت شخ مجیب کے ساتھ جو کچھ ہوا، اور اب شیخ حسینہ واجد کے ساتھ جو کچھ ہوا، مشرقی پاکستان کے بنگالی 1970ء میں ہی یہ سب کچھ ان کے ساتھ کر چکے ہوتے۔

جاوید اختر، مانی شنکر اور حسین حقانی جیسے تاریخ سے چھیڑ چھاڑ کرنے والے علمی بونوں کو جب جاوید جبار جیسی کوہ قامت علمی شخصیت سے پالا پڑتا ہے تو دنیا کے سامنے ان بونوں کی جہالت بےنقاب ہو جاتی ہے، پھر ان بونوں کے پاس کوئی جواب نہیں ہوتا، پھر یہ بونے آئیں بائیں شائیں کرتے رہ جاتے ہیں۔
