Dogs are being blamed and feared enough already. Advertising should not normalize the idea that street dogs are always aggressive or out to attack people.

Teddy, a friendly community dog in Uttarakhand, went missing for 2 days. He was later found dead.

Locals allege he was beaten, stabbed with an iron rod, left suffering, and later strangled to death.

The Keralam government has approved standard operating procedures (SOP) for mercy killing of rabid, incurably ill or demonstrably dangerous stray dogs. The SOP, approved recently, relies on the Supreme Court's Order in May this year allowing euthanasia in such cases.
